Blom Property

A large Sugar Maple at the Blom Property

The 56 acre Blom Property owned by South Nation Conservation showcases very large, possibly old growth, Sugar Maple (Acer saccharum) in a rich, mixed woodland of mature Black Maple (Acer nigrum), Bitternut Hickory (Carya cordiformis), Eastern Hemlock (Tsuga canadensis), and Beech (Fagus grandifolia). A huge, old growth Basswood (Tilia americana) sits by the creek near Van Camp Road opposite the entrance to the property.

The site is south of Mountain on Van Camp Road just west of County Road 1 and is open to the public.
